Head of IT and Digitalisation for Nordic Solar

The Role

As the Head of IT and Digitalisation at Nordic Solar, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive IT and digitalisation strategy aligned with business objectives and strategic targets. You will lead the IT department, ensuring a seamless and secure IT environment while fostering innovation and driving the use of advanced technologies such as data analytics, AI, and machine learning.

Your core responsibility will be to manage all IT-related issues and opportunities, from strategic planning to operational execution, ensuring the alignment of IT initiatives with business goals. You will work in a fast-paced and highly professional environment, leading a small team of IT professionals who are key to the design, implementation, and operation of the digital infrastructure.

Your Team

You will lead the IT department, a team of 3 skilled professionals dedicated to supporting and advancing the IT and digitalisation efforts. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will collaborate with various stakeholders across the organisation, ensuring that IT strategies and solutions effectively support the business operations and growth objectives.

Goals and Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing a comprehensive IT and digitalisation strategy that aligns with business objectives.
  • Establishing and enforcing IT governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality, integrity, and security.
  • Managing the IT budget, planning, targets, tracking, and forecasting.
  • Leading the development of data analytics
  • Abilities to gather important knowledge and make better decisions.
  • Providing visionary leadership to the IT team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensuring the performance and reliability of technology across the company.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven experience as a Head of IT, or similar leadership role in IT management.
  • A master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • A strategic mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong knowledge across a broad range of technology areas, including infrastructure, networking, security, and systems administration.
  • Expertise in data architecture, data governance, and data management.
  • In-depth knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in data analytics, AI, and machine learning.
  • Experience with regulatory requirements and compliance standards related to technology.
  • Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with a track record of motivating and developing teams.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging stakeholders at all levels.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing and a solid understanding of the energy sector will be advantageous.
